Job summary

Great American Restaurants is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our in-house construction team. This on-site role is based at our Fairfax support center, with frequent visits to new locations in Northern Virginia and Maryland.

You will lead ground-up restaurant builds from feasibility through opening, owning procurement, contracting, and budget control. You will coordinate architects, engineers, designers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive construction leadership experience.
• Restaurant, hospitality, or upscale retail construction preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Ability to read architectural and MEP plans.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate hands-on leadership of ground-up restaurant builds from feasibility through opening.
• Own construction procurement, contracting, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, designers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and GAR quality standards.
• Execute projects involving high-end finishes, custom millwork, and brand-driven design details.
• Conduct milestone site walks, manage punch lists, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with operations teams to execute facility improvement projects and oversee R&M activities.
