Job summary

SSP America in Detroit is hiring a Restaurant Cashier to deliver friendly, accurate service at busy dining outlets within the Detroit Metropolitan Airport portfolio. You will process orders, handle payments, and serve beverages and food while keeping stations clean and organized.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a food service environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Must be minimum 18 years old.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and POS procedures to pre-check orders and close checks.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from customers and provide correct change.
• Serve beverages and a wide variety of food items to guests.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
• Keep the work area clean and organized throughout the day.
• Clean equipment and utensils and maintain cleanliness of the area.
• Other duties as assigned.
