Job summary

Cooper Aerobics is seeking a part-time restaurant cashier at Cedar Woodfire Grill inside the Cooper Fitness Center in Dallas. You will take orders, handle transactions, and assist with meal prep while ensuring a welcoming guest experience.

Hours are part-time (17–29 per week) with varied shifts Monday through Saturday. You will be trained in food safety, work with a friendly team, and help guests learn menu options while supporting smooth kitchen communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food handling certification must be completed within first month of employment.
• Casual restaurant experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take food orders from guests, ring up orders and complete transactions.
• Assist with meal prep such as smoothies, delivering meals, or prep to-go orders.
• Relay orders to kitchen staff.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system.
• Greet guests and educate them on menu options.

The Cashier is a customer facing support person in our restaurant. The Cashier is responsible for taking and fulfilling orders while ensuring a great experience for the guest from start to finish. Restaurant Cashier Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Taking food orders from guests, ringing up orders and completing transactions
• Assisting with meal prep such as making smoothies, delivering meals to guests, or prepping to-go orders
• Relay orders to the kitchen staff
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register and POS system
• Greeting guest and educating them on our menu options

Requirements

• Ability to operate available equipment, such as register, calculator or scanner.
• Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change.
• Ability to work in group setting as well as work independently.
• Knowledgeable about company’s products and services.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food handling certification (must be completed within first month of employment).
• Casual restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• One month related experience or training.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and working on cash register or related equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
