Job summary

Cooper Aerobics is seeking a Patient Services Representative at Cooper Clinic. The role greets patients, initiates check-in, and ensures correct clinical procedures are performed during visits. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a 30‑minute lunch, with occasional overtime for patient care.

Ideal candidates have experience in patient contact, data entry, and scheduling, plus strong organization and communication skills. Comprehensive benefits and wellness programs are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience including direct patient contact or customer service preferred.
• Ability to use a computer for data entry and scheduling.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Full time: Cooper Clinic. The Patient Services Representative plays an essential role in our patient experience. The Patient Services Representative greets our patients and initiates the check-in process to ensure the patients receive the correct clinical procedures during their visit.

Patient Services Representative Schedule: M-F, 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. with a 30 minute lunch. Occasional overtime as needed for patient care.

Patient Services Representative Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Proactively keep patients informed throughout the day.
• Consistently provide superior internal and external customer service.
• Answer telephone in a timely and polite manner.
• Communicate with customers in a courteous, professional and cooperative manner.
• Obtain current patient information from established and new patients.
• Accurately enter/update patient information in practice management system.
• Assist patients with completion of paperwork when necessary.
• Maintain proper personnel conduct and confidentiality of patient, staff and physician information.
• Maintain schedule balance to facilitate optimal patient flow.

Requirements

The ideal Patient Services Representative Candidate will possess

• Experience including direct patient contact, computer usage, appointment scheduling and data entry preferred
• Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a high-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology a plus but not required
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Ability to work effectively and consistently with limited direct supervision
• Special ability to communicate well with staff, physicians and general public
• Dependable
