The Restaurant General Manager for Intervale Country Club aka Riverside Bar and Grill will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bar and restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing our team to deliver a high-quality experience for our guests. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping staff develop and be productive while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Job Duties Include But Not Limited To
- Oversee day-to-day operations.
- Design strategy and set goals for growth.
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
- Maintains a safe and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining maintenance and general operations of the restaurant.
- Ensure staff is following all food control, health, and safety regulations and protocols.
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
- Interact with customers to develop loyalty and handle customer concerns.
- Contribute to creating bar menus.
- Coordinate and execute special club events, as well as outside event rentals.
- Ensure the bar is profitable by analyzing current trends, and places for improvement.
- Grow sales!
- Help meet or exceed budgeted financial targets.
- Maintains operations policies and standard operating procedure.
- Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; initiating improvements.
- Great interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to hire, train, manage, and schedule staff.
- Alcohol awareness training is recommended.
- Solid organizational skills and facility with budgets, inventories, and negotiating prices with vendors
- Prepare regular reports for the Intervale Country Club Board of Directors
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
- Develop job descriptions for kitchen and bar staff.
