Job summary

KFC is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Restaurant General Manager, uphold brand standards, train and coach the team, and drive daily operations. You’ll lead by example, manage cash controls, inventory, and labor, and help create unforgettable customer experiences.

Expect a 50-hour week with time-and-a-half for 10 hours, plus opportunities for growth and development. You will work to maintain food safety, performance metrics, and team recognition, while promoting equity and belonging

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant/retail management experience.
• Assist with P&L management by following cash control procedures, maintaining inventory and labor.
• Ensure all employees receive proper training and resources.
• Champion KFC's culture and values, promoting equity, inclusion and belonging in the restaurant.
• Lead efforts in individual and team recognition, collaboration and motivation.
• Identify and recruit exceptional talent, supporting the RGM in the hiring process.
• Possess strong communication skills for conducting performance appraisals and disciplining when needed.
• Adhere to corporate policies, procedures and Occupational Health and Food Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations in the RGM's absence.
• Model the KFC Connect Success Routine to meet customer needs.
• Oversee shift responsibilities and food safety standards.
• Collaborate with the RGM to assess team performance and provide feedback.
• Address employee relations issues and resolve or escalate as needed.
• Assist in sourcing and interviewing Team Members for hiring.
• Manage cash control, security procedures, inventory, and labor.
• Review financial reports and act to optimize performance.
• Support facility maintenance and health & safety standards.
