Job summary

Orchard Foods is seeking an Assistant Manager with strong leadership and a passion for guest service. You will support the Restaurant GM, supervise staff, and ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining safety, quality, and financial controls.

You will train crew, coach hourly employees, participate in recruiting, manage inventory, and help drive customer satisfaction across shifts in a fast-paced dining environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory experience in food service/retail/customer service.
• Serve Safe Certified.
• Ability to calculate/analyze data.
• Basic business math and accounting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager and supervise operating hours and unit operations.
• Interact with customers and supervise more than 3 staff members.
• Oversee facilities, equipment maintenance, cleaning tasks, and cash controls.
• Train crew, coach hourly employees, and conduct health and safety audits.
• Hands-on training to model skills and behaviors for the team.
• Provide leadership, motivate staff, and coach for excellence.
• Supervise Shift Leads and Restaurant Team Members.
• Ensure fast, accurate service and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain safety compliance with health codes and company policy.
• Assist in cash handling, inventory, labor, and financial reporting.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring; conduct appraisals.
• Ensure maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds.
• Ensure food quality and full execution of marketing plans.
