Restaurant Assistant Manager

Summary of Position: As an Assistant Manager, you will drive sales growth and uphold company standards by managing food service activities, assigning tasks, overseeing cash control, and ensuring high-quality food and hospitality. You will also play a key role in training team members, supporting the General Manager, assisting in overall operations, and focusing on team development and retention.

Essential Duties:

  1. Supervise team members and shift leaders, maintaining high standards in quality, service, cleanliness, and profitability.
  2. Coordinate staff training with team trainers.
  3. Maintain cooperative relationships with management and team members.
  4. Handle HR issues, including disciplinary actions.
  5. Conduct team meetings to discuss operations, procedures, and promotions.
  6. Conduct weekly inventories.
  7. Manage payroll and inventory to meet company standards.
  8. Support management and General Manager in operational decisions.
  9. Maintain reports and records in compliance with regulations.
  10. Ensure proper maintenance of building and equipment.
  11. Manage cash procedures, including deposits.
  12. Enforce sanitation, safety, and security policies.
  13. Maintain professional personal appearance.
  14. Adhere to all HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies.
  15. Perform other tasks as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • Stand for long periods.
  • Work around high temperatures and in close quarters.
  • Lift 50-75 pounds comfortably.
  • Work with cleaning products.

Experience:

  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including opening and closing shifts.
  • Have reliable transportation and communication methods.
