Summary

An Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager (RM), Shift Leaders, and Team. They perform all duties of the Restaurant Manager in their absence. Key responsibilities include overseeing floor operations and Brand Training programs. They provide positive leadership to ensure guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and profitability of a single restaurant. They assist the RM in managing restaurant standards, policies, procedures, and legal compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform all responsibilities of restaurant team members.
  2. Lead team meetings with the Restaurant Manager.
  3. Oversee Brand Training Programs, schedule, and train staff.
  4. Ensure execution of Brand standards, recipes, and systems.
  5. Foster a guest-focused culture.
  6. Review guest feedback and implement improvement plans.
  7. Communicate restaurant priorities, goals, and results to staff.
  8. Assist with new product rollouts, including training and sampling.
  9. Set up Point of Purchase displays per Brand standards.
  10. Maintain a safe, food-safe, and sanitary environment, complying with laws.
  11. Control costs to maximize profitability.
  12. Perform periodic inventory as per Indus policy.
  13. Support RM in preparing weekly labor schedules.
  14. Assist RM with staff deployment and assignments.
  15. Support RM in ordering supplies and vendors.
  16. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  17. Conduct performance assessments for self and team members.
  18. Help meet restaurant budget targets.
  19. Manage cash over/shorts and ensure adherence to cash policies.
  20. Handle daily cash deposits and bank visits.
  21. Engage with Brands Field Operations team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Quick Service Restaurant or retail.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift/move up to 20 lbs.
