Summary

An Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager (RM), Shift Leaders, and Team. They perform all duties of the Restaurant Manager in their absence. Responsibilities include overseeing floor operations and Brand Training programs, providing strong leadership to deliver excellent guest experiences, operational excellence, and supporting profitable sales growth of a single restaurant. They assist the Restaurant Manager in ensuring the restaurant operates according to standards, policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all responsibilities of restaurant team members
• Lead team meetings alongside the Restaurant Manager
• Oversee Brand Training Programs, schedule, and train staff
• Ensure execution of Brand standards, recipes, and systems
• Foster a guest-focused culture
• Review guest feedback and implement improvement plans
• Communicate restaurant priorities, goals, and results to team members
• Assist with new product rollouts, including training, marketing, and sampling
• Set up Point of Purchase displays according to Brand standards
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment by following safety, food safety, and sanitation laws
• Control costs to maximize profitability
• Conduct periodic inventory as per company policy
• Support RM in creating weekly labor schedules
• Assist RM in staff deployment and assignments
• Support RM with supplier and vendor orders
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Conduct performance assessments for self and team
• Help ensure the restaurant meets budget targets
• Manage cash over/shorts and follow cash management policies
• Handle daily cash deposits
• Engage with Brands Field Operations team as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• 1-2 years of experience in Quick Service Restaurant or retail

Physical Demands

Ability to move/lift up to 20 lbs.
