Summary

An Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager (RM), Shift Leaders, and Team. They perform all duties of the Restaurant Manager in their absence, focusing on floor operations and Brand Training programs. The role involves providing positive leadership to ensure excellent guest experiences, operational excellence, and profitable sales for a single restaurant. They assist the RM in managing the restaurant according to standards, policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform all responsibilities of restaurant team members.
  2. Lead team meetings with the Restaurant Manager.
  3. Oversee Brand Training Programs, schedule, and train staff.
  4. Ensure execution of Brand standards, recipes, and systems.
  5. Foster a guest-focused culture.
  6. Review guest feedback and implement improvement actions.
  7. Communicate restaurant priorities, goals, and results to team members.
  8. Support new product rollouts, including training, marketing, and sampling.
  9. Ensure Point of Purchase setups meet Brand standards.
  10. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment following safety, food safety, and sanitation laws.
  11. Control costs to maximize profitability.
  12. Conduct periodic inventory as per company policy.
  13. Assist RM in scheduling staff to meet demand and standards.
  14. Support RM in staff deployment and vendor orders.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  16. Conduct performance assessments for self and team.
  17. Help meet restaurant budget targets.
  18. Manage cash over/shorts and ensure proper cash handling.
  19. Handle daily bank deposits.
  20. Engage with Brands Field Operations team as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Quick Service Restaurant or retail environment.

Physical Demands

Ability to move or lift up to 20 lbs.
