Job summary

TravelCenters of America invites applications for an Assistant General Manager to lead restaurant operations at our travel centers. You will oversee staffing, training and development, staff supervision, and profitability improvements to ensure every traveler has a positive dining experience.

You will mentor a high-performing team, drive exceptional customer service, maintain clean facilities, and manage budgets while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience in fast-food preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; POS software understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the team to meet performance standards.
• Coach and manage staff per policy.
• Provide courteous, prompt service and a clean dining area.
• Recruit, hire and retain qualified team members.
• Help achieve financial objectives through people, product, service, and facility management.
• Follow safety standards and vendor relations guidelines.
• Cover duties of hourly associates as needed.
