Position Overview:
Responsible for managing restaurant operations, establishing, and maintaining standards of service to ensure guest satisfaction and repeat business.
Essential Job Functions:
- Direct the restaurant staff through coaching, counseling, guidance, and motivation to maintain positive morale.
- Provide training and conduct performance reviews for staff.
- Establish work standards and procedures, plan schedules, and ensure adequate service levels.
- Interview, hire, train, resolve issues, and handle disciplinary actions as needed.
- Supervise restaurant setup, cleanliness, inventory, and equipment readiness.
- Ensure service standards are met during operations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, service staff, and guests to ensure quality service and safety compliance.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
- Supervise cleanup and proper storage of equipment.
- Prepare reports and process payroll.
- Perform other duties as assigned and assist in other hotel areas when needed.
- Maintain a safe work environment and handle complaints per policy.
- Participate in hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary decisions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2+ years college degree preferred in Hospitality or Business.
- 3+ years experience in hotel industry, Food & Beverage.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
- Understanding of applicable health and safety regulations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Proficiency in computer skills and handling transactions.
- Professionalism, conflict resolution skills, and ability to multitask.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to walk, climb stairs, bend, and handle physical tasks.
- Visual and auditory acuity.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors with moderate noise levels.
Additional Property-Specific Functions:
- Must have valid Tennessee ABC Card.
- Complete required training.
