Job Category: Restaurant - Food Service

The Food and Beverage supervisor ensures that the highest level of customer service is provided for banquet events and during the restaurant experience. Employees may be assigned other duties as determined by management. Essential duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor food and beverage operations on a day to day basis to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Develop strategies to achieve financial objectives and monitor cost and budget
  • Supervise, schedule, train and coach staff in their daily duties
  • Monitor food and liquor inventory on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Serve food and drinks to customers if needed
  • Maintain stock at bar
  • Perform the duties of the Food and Beverage Manger if needed
  • Coordinate with event facilitator to ensure quality and satisfaction on special events

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age to serve alcohol
  • Must be able to work scheduled shifts that include days, evenings and weekends
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Ability to stand and carry 25-35 pounds
  • Must be able to walk and stand for periods of time
  • Must be able to work and communicate cooperatively with employees and customers
  • Must possess basic math skills
  • Must be comfortable handling cash and credit transactions
  • Must comply with food safety rules
  • Must follow all state of Michigan alcohol laws
  • TAM certification preferred but may be obtained once hired
  • Must be able to provide a high level of customer service
  • Previous experience as a supervisor is preferred
  • Servesafe certification preferred
