The University of Oklahoma seeks a Central Texas Admission Counselor to manage recruiting for new undergraduate students within a designated territory. This full-time position involves building relationships with prospective students and supporting them through the admissions process. OU Office of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR) works to bring in the next generation of Sooners. Our team operates from Norman as well as across the state, nation and world. We provide support to incoming domestic and international freshman and transfer students as they navigate the college application and decision process. Additionally, we partner with parents, counselors, and communities in providing resources to students interested in higher education. Our goal is to build a vibrant, inclusive community on campus by recruiting students with diverse backgrounds, educational experiences, and involvement.

The admission counselor position manages new undergraduate student recruiting in a North Texas, designated territory, develops and executes recruiting strategies and activities, and participates in admission application review and processing. This person also interprets admission policies and procedures and responds to all manner of questions regarding admission from prospective students, parents, high school and college counselors, alumni, OU faculty and staff, colleagues and the public. There is a strong cultural emphasis on customer service.
**We're currently looking for a new team member for our Central Texas region to serve as an Admissions Counselor. This position is remote and will reside in the Austin area. **
