Job summary

GoodwillReady seeks a part-time Rest Area Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe roadside facility across Ashtabula and Lake counties. You will work alone or supervise one to two Caretakers, greeting travelers and ensuring quality standards during your shift.

Responsibilities include safety oversight, daily quality checks, coordinating staffing, reporting maintenance needs, enforcing dress and PPE, maintaining logs, and training new staff while handling SDS documentation as required.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience in similar work or manufacturing environment
• Effective communication skills
• Able to work with and manage a diverse workforce, including persons with disabilities
• Must be able to work alone
• Must be able to operate lawn care and snow removal equipment

Responsibilities

• Safety and well-being of caretakers, clients and the general public
• Ensure rest area is clean and safe per policy
• Daily quality control checks and attendance records
• Provide guidance to caretaker on duty
• Report maintenance concerns to Superintendent
• Assist with staffing and sign-in sheets
• Ensure dress/uniform standards and PPE compliance
• Maintain usage logs and inventory control
• Provide supplies and equipment as needed
• Maintain equipment per manufacturer specs and report malfunctions
• Complete accident/incident forms and reporting
• Assist with training new employees and SDS procedures
• Maintain SDS files and training
• Other duties as assigned
