Job summary

Estée Lauder Companies in the United States seeks a Manager, Responsible Sourcing to lead the SSC program execution, driving action plans for raw materials, advancing traceability, and partnering across Global Supplier Management, R&D, Legal, brands, and suppliers to mitigate risks.

This role engages suppliers on responsible sourcing, develops leadership updates, represents ELC in coalitions, and supports public reporting.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in responsible sourcing, sustainability, human rights, and/or procurement (preferably with raw materials/ingredients supply chains).
  • Experience with supply chain traceability systems, supplier data quality management, and KPI development/reporting.
  • Ability to engage and influence suppliers and internal stakeholders on upstream human rights and environmental due diligence expectations.
  • Experience working with external NGOs, industry initiatives, and multi-stakeholder collaborations.
  • High proficiency in MS Office including MS PowerPoint, Excel and Copilot.
  • Proven ability to collect, interpret, and communicate complex sustainability, product, and environmental data (e.g., certifications, traceability data, reporting frameworks).

Responsibilities

  • Manage SSC program by advancing and monitoring implementation of raw material action plans.
  • Advance upstream supply chain transparency and traceability with service providers and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Sustain and deepen engagement with ingredients suppliers on responsible sourcing practices and certified ingredients.
  • Assess and advise on sustainability and human rights risks in priority supply chains; support verifications.
  • Develop leadership-ready updates synthesizing progress, risks, and decisions; manage project plans and milestones.
  • Represent ELC in external coalitions and working groups to identify best practices and remediate issues.
  • Coordinate with ELC’s Charitable Foundation and partners to monitor impact projects and align resources.
  • Evaluate brand marketing claim requests related to sourcing practices; support public reporting.
