Job summary

Ohel Children's Home and Family Services is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee its Respite Program and Complex Medical Program serving children and adults with developmental disabilities. This role ensures high-quality, person-centered support across multiple locations.

The coordinator will manage operations, documentation, billing, and staff supervision, providing leadership to DSPs and coordinating community-based activities, with occasional evening and Sunday hours and travel within

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid NY or NJ driver's license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison for families, providing responsive communication and ongoing support
• Maintain accurate, compliant program documentation and records
• Oversee billing procedures and ensure timely and accurate submissions
• Develop and implement individualized goal plans
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) providing home and community based services
• Provide ongoing supervision, guidance, and performance management to staff working independently across multiple locations
• Coordinate and plan respite recreational activities and community-based programming
