Job summary

Heartspring seeks a Home Assistant Supervisor to help lead our residential team supporting children and young adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities. This role focuses on creating a safe, structured home environment where students can build life skills and independence.

The position emphasizes direct care, leadership development, and collaboration with families and staff to ensure high-quality care and support across daily routines and activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct care of children or young adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop staff while promoting accountability.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with families and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and support the Home Supervisor.
• Coach and develop team members, promoting accountability, teamwork, open communication and a positive work environment.
• Monitor the implementation of student schedules, instructional programs, Student Support Plans, and daily routines to ensure consistency and quality of care.
• Support students with activities of daily living, community integration, life skills, and individualized goals.
• Coordinate student services and care within the group home, communicating updates and concerns with families and internal partners.
• Assist with Quality Assurance checks and ensure compliance with KDHE requirements and residential regulations.
• Monitor student health and safety, respond to emergencies, report incidents quickly.
• Maintain documentation and protect confidential health information.
