Job summary

Clinical and Support Options, Inc. in Florence, MA is seeking a Nurse Manager for its Respite program. The role involves direct client care, treatment planning, case management and on-site clinical supervision.

You will review medications, perform health assessments, supervise staff, help develop policies, monitor clients, and provide counseling and safety. MA RN license, 5+ years adult MH experience, supervisory background, and valid driver’s license are required; bilingual candidates

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of five years' experience treating adults with serious mental illness.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Experience with residential or inpatient care (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review medications upon admission, confirm prescriptions and dosages, set-up medication charting, administer, document and monitor medications of clients in Respite per ES Program policy.
• Complete health assessments of clients in Respite and report findings to Clinical Nurse or Psychiatrist as appropriate.
• Monitor clients' physical status (BP, pulse, temperature, blood sugar) for adverse medication effects and report findings.
• Provide training to nurses and relief nurses as necessary.
• Assist in development, implementation and evaluation of new or revised policies and procedures.
• Monitor respite clients with hourly bed checks and documentation, providing closer observation as needed.
• Provide supportive counseling and safety for clients utilizing the program.
