Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Respite Specialist to provide rehabilitation and stabilization services in Brockton, MA, on-site or in community settings. The role supports adults with mental health needs and involves supervising daily living activities, medication education, and crisis response.

The position offers involvement in a multidisciplinary team, opportunities for growth, and a schedule that includes Fri-Mon shifts. A valid driver's license and access to transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence and own means of transportation.
• Willing to provide backup coverage as a Respite Community Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based respite care to foster independence and self-determination.
• Teach ADLs and socialization skills, including household tasks, money management, and personal care.
• Supervise medication self-administration and document per MAP policies.
• Facilitate community-based activities and assist with treatment plan implementation.
