Job summary

Seven Hills Foundation is seeking a part-time respite worker to provide one-to-one care for children with special health care needs, primarily during early morning hours. You will implement the safety and service plan, help with social activities, and give families a relief from caregiving duties.

Training is provided by parents and guardians where needed. We offer a structured, essential-worker role with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children with special health care needs.
• Willingness to work early morning schedule.
• Ability to document timesheets and incident reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe one to one care per the plan for children with special health care needs.
• Provide socialization opportunities within home or outside the home.
• Provide family with relief from caring for their child.
• Perform all necessary self-care tasks as needed by the individual.
• Provide transportation to activities as approved by parent/caretaker.
• Carry out specific tasks outlined in the respite safety and service plan.
• Provide required documentation to coordinator in a timely manner.
• ON CALL – as needed per approved hours and parent request.
• Contribute to positive morale through professional communication.
• Arrive punctually to required meetings and trainings.
• Drive people to destinations following safety and legal regulations.
• Provide support to other areas of the agency as needed.
• Respond effectively to potential safety hazards and emergencies.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe environment.
• Report incidents as required by regulations.
• Ensure workplace safety and perform other duties.
