Job summary

Seven Hills Foundation seeks a Direct Support Professional I to provide one-to-one care for children with special health care needs. The role supports families by implementing safety and service plans and offering socialization opportunities both inside and outside the home.

Flexible, part-time scheduling up to four hours weekly, with on-call availability. Requires a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license. Join a mission-driven nonprofit with strong benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Experience providing direct care to children with special health care needs.
• Ability to follow a safety and service plan and carry out tasks as directed.
• Available for on-call and part-time scheduling as needed.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Standard driver’s license – class C or D.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe one to one care per the plan for children with special health care needs.
• Provide socialization opportunities within home and/or outside of home when appropriate.
• Provide family with a relief from caring for their child with special health care needs.
• Perform all necessary self-care tasks as needed by the individual supported.
• Provide transportation to and from all social activities only as approved by parent/caretaker.
• Carry out specific tasks outlined in the respite safety and service plan.
• On call – as needed per approved hours and parent request.
• Contribute to the positive morale by representing the agency through professional communication and interactions.
• Arrive punctually and participate in all required meetings and trainings.
• Drive people to destinations necessary for them to experience a full and diversified life, following all safety and legal regulations.
• Provide support to other areas of the agency, as needed.
• Respond effectively to potential safety hazards and emergencies.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe environment by being respectful of property and equipment.
