Job summary

Consumer Direct Care Network is seeking a Respite Provider to support an elementary-age female with disabilities, delivering 1:1 supervision in home and community settings. The role emphasizes safety, routine maintenance, and encouraging independence through person-centered care.

The position offers a part-time schedule (about 6 hours weekly) with afternoon, evening, and weekend hours, including Saturdays and Sundays, and a flexible arrangement to fit family needs.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Criminal/Caregiver background check.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance required.
• 1 year of Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
• Compassionate individuals with 1 year of childcare or respite care experience preferred.
• Ability to enforce a daily schedule while being compassionate and patient.
• College Students, Special Education Teachers, Special Education Paraprofessionals encouraged to apply!
• Experience with children with Autism or development disability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 constant supervision and support in the home and community
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment
• Assist in maintaining routine including ADL's (daily hygiene reminders/ assistance)
• Assist with Meal/Snack preparation based on the client's dietary needs.
• Provide transportation to Community Outings and Appointments
• Encourage independence, choice, and community inclusion
