Job summary

The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking Relief Staff for The Retreat at Hampshire Woods, a short-term respite program for adults 18+ needing stabilization for mental health and substance use. You will provide direct services in a respite setting and help with daily living activities in a supportive, therapeutic milieu.

The role involves facilitating daily groups, administering medications as needed, building client relationships, and offering case management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; ability to build caring relationships.
• Written and verbal communication skills; computer proficiency.
• Background screening including CORI and motor vehicle record; reliable vehicle.
• MAP certification preferred or willing to obtain MAP certification.

Responsibilities

• Daily activities include providing direct services to program clients living in a respite setting.
• Supporting clients' activities of daily living, administering medications as needed.
• Develop professional and supportive relationships with clients and provide informal counseling with a person-centered focus.
• Facilitate daily groups (on-the-job training provided).
• Provide case management services.
• Maintain a therapeutic milieu.
