Job summary

Center for Human Development (CHD) seeks a direct care professional for the Retreat at Hampshire Woods in South Hadley, MA. The role is full-time, second shift (3pm-11pm), Tuesday through Saturday, providing direct services to adults in a respite setting with a focus on compassionate, person-centered care.

Responsibilities include administering medications as needed, supporting activities of daily living, facilitating groups, and delivering case management within a therapeutic milieu.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred but can be substituted for caring relationships
• Written and verbal communication skills are critical
• Background screening including CORI and MVRC; reliable vehicle required
• MAP certification or willingness to become MAP certified

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to clients in a respite setting
• Assist with activities of daily living and medication administration
• Develop supportive relationships and provide informal counseling
• Facilitate daily groups (on-the-job training provided)
• Provide case management services
• Maintain a therapeutic milieu
• Collaborate with team to support clients with mental health needs
