Job summary

The Center for Human Development (CHD) in South Hadley, MA is seeking full-time Direct Care staff for the second shift (3pm–11pm), Tuesday through Saturday, to support adults in a respite setting. The team focuses on compassionate, person-centered care within a structured program.

You will provide direct services, assist with daily living, and build supportive relationships. You will lead daily groups, participate in case management, and help maintain a therapeutic milieu, with MAP certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; can be substituted by caregiving ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication; computer proficiency required.
• Background screening including CORI and motor vehicle record; reliable vehicle.
• MAP certification required or willingness to obtain MAP certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to clients in a respite setting.
• Assist with activities of daily living; med administration as needed.
• Develop supportive relationships and provide informal counseling.
• Facilitate daily groups; on-the-job training provided.
• Provide case management services.
• Maintain a therapeutic milieu; collaborate with team.
