Job summary

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapy professional to serve as a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor at Tewksbury Hospital. This 40-hour, weekday schedule supports staff development, education, and quality initiatives to enhance respiratory care across medical and psychiatric units.

The role reports to the Chief Medical Officer and supervises Respiratory Therapy Technician I and II staff, coordinating staffing, performance management, and adherence to

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, patients and families.
• Working knowledge of Respiratory Therapy practices, principles and equipment.
• Working knowledge of PAP devices and associated equipment.
• Working knowledge of ECG monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise the Respiratory Care Department activities to ensure policy compliance and quality improvement.
• Oversee scheduling and staffing for the Respiratory Care Department.
• Assess performance of staff and provide feedback and education as needed.
• Analyze census, acuity, staffing and productivity data to optimize resource use.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and conduct staff education.
