Job summary

Marian Regional Medical Center, part of Dignity Health, seeks a Respiratory Therapist Supervisor to lead the Respiratory Care team and support department management alongside the Director/Manager. The role includes direct patient care as needed and ongoing staff development.

The ideal candidate has extensive acute care experience, California RCP licensure, and an RRT credential, plus ACLS/PALS/BLS and NRP within specified timelines. Strong leadership and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of acute care experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• California Respiratory Care Practitioner license at hire.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) at hire.
• American Heart Association certifications: BLS, ACLS within 30 days, PALS within 30 days.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, instruct, and evaluate Respiratory Care staff, and assist the Director/Manager in department management.
• Provide direct patient care as needed.
• Oversee staffing, workload and scheduling across shifts to ensure quality care and efficient use of resources.
• Coordinate staff education, in-services, and meetings, and supervise training of new employees and students.
