Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is seeking a Supervisor Respiratory Therapy (RRT or CRT) to lead routine and critical care respiratory services. The role involves staff assignments, shift supervision, and ensuring quality assurance while coordinating with the Respiratory Care Manager and Cardiopulmonary Director.

The ideal candidate has an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy with NBRC/State credentials and active BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications. Leadership experience is required.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or equivalent in Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or State Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within specified timeframes.
• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine & critical care respiratory procedures including mechanical ventilation and routine respiratory care.
• Assigns staff to shifts and supervises staff on each shift.
• Monitors quality assurance, audits documentation, conducts floor rounds, and provides leadership guidance.
• Makes operational decisions to improve patient care and departmental operations.
• Oversees daily productivity and ensures proper staffing and equipment resources.
