HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is seeking a Supervisor Respiratory Therapy to lead daily patient care and supervise staff on the shift. You'll oversee routine and critical respiratory procedures, including ventilation, assign personnel, and ensure quality and productivity.

The role requires a Respiratory Therapy degree, active NBRC/State credentials, and leadership experience. You will mentor the team, monitor compliance, and collaborate with care leaders to improve patient outcomes and hospital

• NBRC/State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or State Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• PALS certification must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• NRP certification must be obtained within 90 days of start date.

Supervisor Respiratory Therapy (RRT or CRT) - Full-time, DAYS

Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs routine & critical care respiratory care procedures associated with the care of the respiratory patient; including, mechanical ventilation and routine respiratory care. Makes patient assignments for staff on respective shift. Supervises the staff RT's each shift. Monitors staff for quality assurance purposes, including auditing documentation, making floor rounds, talking to staff. Provides strong leadership/guidance to staff. Makes vital patient care & operational decisions. Makes tough decisions when needed. Disciplines staff when necessary. Documents discussions and recommendations extended to staff. Assures a proactive, positive atmosphere. Makes “positive suggestions” to staff & management regarding concerns & recommendations for the goal of improving patient care & improved departmental & hospital operations. Oversees daily productivity and assures proper usage of all available staffing and equipment resources. Reports to Manager Respiratory Care / Director Cardiopulmonary.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associate Degree or equivalent in Respiratory Therapy
• NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or State Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory leadership experience required
