Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care leader to direct the Adult Cardiopulmonary services, ensuring high-quality patient care across all age groups. The role involves overseeing staff, equipment, and clinical operations, with emphasis on diagnostics, patient education, and psychosocial support.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in acute/subacute respiratory care, state RCP license, NBRC RRT credential, and pediatric/neurological familiarity.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
• NBRC RRT certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification required upon hire and maintained or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• NRP certification required upon hire and maintained.
• Associate or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Five years of acute or subacute respiratory care experience required.
• At least one year of NICU experience preferred.

Job description

Leads and directs the technical personnel, activities, and equipment of the Adult Cardiopulmonary services. Promotes healing of acutely ill patients whose cardiac or pulmonary systems have been compromised through illness or injury through the provision of respiratory care, diagnostic testing, providing for the psycho-social needs of the patient, and patient education. Encourages and enhances the progression and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Services Department. Treats patients from newborn, pediatrics, adolescents, young, middle, and older adults. When requested, assists day-to-day operations of the Cardiopulmonary Department.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required.
• 2. Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• 3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
• 4. Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current.
• 5. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• 6. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 7. Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• 8. Five (5) years of acute or subacute respiratory care experience as respiratory care practitioner required.
• 9. At least one (1) year of experience in NICU preferred.
