Job summary

Tanner-Health-1 is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to perform cardiopulmonary duties under hospital policy, with emphasis on patient care and quality improvement. Responsibilities include administering respiratory treatments, airway and ventilator management, and blood gas analysis.

Requires an Associate degree or two years of college, 3 years of related experience, and credentials including RRT, CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience.
• Completion of AMA accredited school for Respiratory Therapy.
• Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Must complete PALS and ACLS within first 10 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments, airway management, and ventilator management.
• Perform blood gas analysis and other noninvasive cardiology procedures.
• Provide high level of customer service and participate in quality improvement.
• Oversee activities of therapists, train and evaluate staff, and assist shift supervisor.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs Cardiopulmonary duties by hospital policy/procedure under general supervision. This can include administering of respiratory treatments, airway management, ventilator management, blood gases, and other noninvasive cardiology procedures. This individual will be held to a high level of customer service representation and will be an active participant in the continuous quality improvement process. The RRT shift supervisor will also be responsible for the oversight of all activities of the therapists assigned to him/her and involved in the training and evaluation of these employees.

Education

Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework

Experience

Three years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
