Job summary

Medical City Arlington is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Program Coordinator to collaborate with the Director of Respiratory Therapy and interdisciplinary teams to promote excellence in patient care and ensure regulatory standards are met.

The coordinator leads respiratory therapy education and professional development initiatives by assessing training needs, developing educational resources, conducting staff and student orientation programs, and facilitating ongoing clinical training.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS within 6 months of employment start date.
• NBRC-RRT registered as Respiratory Therapist.
• Minimum five years' experience in Respiratory with supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Director of Respiratory Therapy and interdisciplinary teams to promote excellence in patient care.
• Ensures clinical practice standards, regulatory requirements, and competency are established and maintained.
• Leads respiratory therapy education and professional development initiatives.
• Assesses training needs, develops educational resources, and conducts staff and student orientation programs.
• Evaluates training effectiveness and maintains competency and performance records.
