Responsibilities

• Provides effective leadership to the department and drives strategic direction.
• Directs staff activities, manages resources, and coordinates management responsibilities.
• Identifies opportunities for new or enhanced services aligning with organizational goals.
• Leads performance improvement efforts to strengthen systems, policies, and procedures.
• Communicates the department’s role in achieving organizational goals.
• Manages personnel development and maintains growth plans for team members.
• Oversees the operational budget and authorizes departmental funds.
• Analyzes financial data to support short- and long-term objectives.
• Develops staffing solutions and ensures equipment/supply readiness; handles recalls.
• Develops policies and procedures to advance patient care and professional standards.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, CMS, and Joint Commission.
• Oversees electronic health record enhancements and serves as IT liaison for systems.
• Fulfills call duties as assigned; maintains clinical/technical competencies.
