Job summary

Ascension in Racine, WI is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join All Saints Hospital on the day shift in Respiratory Therapy. The role focuses on delivering high-quality direct care and using advanced modalities to stabilize patients and promote recovery.

You will coordinate the full patient care journey with multidisciplinary teams, perform precise specimen collection and testing, and educate patients and families to support long-term wellness while floating across specialty units as needed.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality direct care and advanced respiratory modalities to stabilize patients, promote recovery, and enhance overall quality of life.
• Coordinate the full patient care journey—from initial assessment through discharge planning—collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, well-integrated care.
• Perform precision specimen collection and diagnostic testing, continuously monitoring real-time patient responses to enable timely, informed clinical decisions.
• Empower patients, families, and clinical staff through tailored educational materials and support groups that foster long‑term recovery and community wellness.
• Support care delivery across diverse specialty units, adapting seamlessly to floating assignments while maintaining exceptional standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Education

Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
