Job summary

Mount Carmel, a member of Trinity Health in Ohio, seeks a Respiratory Assistant II to administer and perform respiratory therapy on the hospital floors under the direct supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner. This part-time position supports patient care across units and requires active participation in a clinical team.

Qualifications

• Education: Enrolled in a formal respiratory care educational program.
• Licensure: Maintains a current Limited Permit from the Ohio Medical Board.
• Maintain current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical skills and knowledge to work in areas of the hospital and practice within their Limited Permit.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team with coworkers.
• Provides excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
• Initiates and administers therapeutic procedures and diagnostic tests per department policies.
• Records information/patient assessments in the medical record and maintains departmental records.
• Follows proper patient identification procedures.
