Job summary

Mount Carmel, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Respiratory Assistant II to administer respiratory therapy on the floor under direct supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner. You will support acute care patients, work collaboratively with the team, and ensure accurate documentation of treatments and assessments.

Responsibilities include initiating procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring proper patient identification.

Qualifications

• Education: Enrolled in and in good standing in a formal respiratory care educational program.
• Licensure/Certification: Maintains a current Limited Permit from the Ohio Medical Board; verification of licensure will be maintained throughout employment.
• Maintain current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory therapy procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team with coworkers.
• Provides excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
• Initiates and administers therapeutic procedures and diagnostic tests per departmental policy.
• Records patient information and assessments in the medical record and maintains departmental records.
• Follows patient identification procedures.
