Responsibilities include initiating therapies, documenting assessments, mentoring students, and maintaining equipment, while collaborating with physicians and care teams to develop effective plans of care.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of a 2- or 4-year Respiratory Care Program, or equivalent to obtain registry credentials.
• Licensure: Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License and RRT/CRT credentials.
• Experience: Clinical experience in adult and neonatal respiratory therapy procedures.
• Maintain current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide Respiratory Care and ensure patient safety; promote evidence-based practice.
• Initiate and administer therapies and diagnostic tests per policy.
• Record assessments in the medical record and maintain department records.
• Precept new employees and participate in student clinical rotations.
• Maintain respiratory therapy equipment and collaborate with care teams.
