Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Part-time Respiratory Assistant II who will perform respiratory therapy on the hospital floor under the direct supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner. This casual/prn role may include day or night shifts and requires active enrollment in a respiratory care program along with a current Limited Permit and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a respiratory care program in good standing.
• Maintains a current Ohio Limited Permit with ongoing verification.
• Maintain current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Administers and performs respiratory therapy on the floor under supervision.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team with coworkers.
• Provides excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
• Initiates and administers therapeutic procedures and diagnostic tests per department policy.
• Records patient information and assessments in the medical record.
• Follows patient identification procedures.
