The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) at Methodist Southlake Medical Center provides a full range of respiratory care, including ABG analysis, PFTs, ventilator support, and oxygen therapy for adults and neonates.

Under the supervision of the department medical director, you will complete assessments, interpret results, maintain equipment, and uphold safety and infection-control standards. Texas license and NBRC registration are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.
• NRP/PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Texas license in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Registered by the NBRC.

Responsabilités

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, and airway maintenance.
• Performs cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures: ABG, pulse oximetry, PFT, ECG.
• Conducts bedside respiratory assessments and reviews patient records.
• Operate, calibrate and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment.
• Participates in infection control, safety and quality assurance.
• Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment; contributes to patient satisfaction through scripting.
