Vibra Healthcare in Odessa, TX is seeking a skilled Respiratory Practitioner for full-time night shifts. The role involves setting up and operating respiratory care equipment, administering treatments, and monitoring patients 18 years and older in a hospital environment.

You will work under the Respiratory Therapy Manager and Lead Therapist, perform ventilator management, trach care, and blood gas analyses, while ensuring patient safety and education.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Practitioner in the state of employment.
• BLS required on hire; ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• Licenses and certifications must be maintained for the duration of employment.

Responsabilités

• Care for adult or geriatric patients (18+) with respiratory needs.
• Explain purposes of treatments and document patient education in charts.
• Administer and monitor physician-prescribed respiratory therapies.
• Set up, operate and monitor ventilators; participate in weaning per physician direction.
• Perform trach care and change tubes per policy; document changes.
• Record treatments and patient responses; update MARs and charts.
• Process respiratory equipment with proper sterilization and handling.
• Report changes and coordinate with relief personnel and primary nurses.
