Job summary

Care New England Health System (CNE) is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care, ventilator management, and patient education across cardiopulmonary care settings. The role includes emergency response, ABG analysis, and equipment management in a high-acuity hospital environment.

The position requires an associate degree in respiratory therapy, NBRC CRT, RI license, and 6+ months of related experience; RRT preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• NBRC CRT credential is required; RRT credential preferred.
• RI Respiratory Care Practitioner license is required.
• Minimum six months related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders including aerosolized medications, lung expansion, and airway clearance.
• Obtain arterial blood from radial artery for ABG analysis and interpret results to guide treatment.
• Provide ventilator management: initiation, maintenance, monitoring, rounds input, and liberation; suctioning as needed.
• Provide rapid response and emergency care including airway management, CPR, trauma care, and ventilatory support.
• Support patient transport with portable ventilators and monitors; monitor and document patient responses.
