Qualifications

• CRT credentials or provisional license required.
• Graduate of COARC approved Respiratory Care Program.
• Certified by the NBRC.
• Licensed by the NCRCB.
• BCLS certified by the American Heart Association.
• Must obtain RRT credentials within 36 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer oxygen and continuous aerosol therapy per guidelines.
• Perform intermittent therapy and diagnostic procedures.
• Access medications from Medication Security Area to implement care.
• Initiate and maintain mechanical ventilation and document.
• Provide airway management during emergencies and resuscitation.
• Perform intubation after approval.
• Initiate and maintain monitoring equipment.
• Serve as charge therapist in the absence of a supervisor.
• Maintain care for patients of all ages with appropriate modalities.
• Charge all services provided, including BCX system usage.
• Other duties as assigned.
