CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join an established team of RRTs delivering specialized cardiopulmonary care. You will manage treatments ranging from breathing techniques to ventilator support and oxygen therapies, applying keen assessment and critical thinking daily.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, therapy planning, documentation, and education for patients and families.

Competenze

• Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• CRT certification by NBRC and RRT within 1 year of hire.
• Active state license in Nebraska and/or Iowa as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• BLS through AHA required.
• ACLS within 3 months, PALS within 6 months, NRP within 9 months.

Mansioni

• Performs basic respiratory care and develops care plans for delivery of Respiratory Therapy.
• Administers and monitors critical care procedures including mechanical ventilation and physiological monitoring.
• Assesses patient needs and communicates data to physicians; makes therapy recommendations.
• Documents in medical records; reports adverse reactions.
• Educates patients, families, and staff about therapy and equipment; home care referrals.
• Assumes charge responsibilities in supervisor’s absence and allocates workload.
