Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – CRT to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and pharmacologic respiratory care under physician orders. You will assess patients, monitor responses, and tailor treatments to support respiratory function and recovery in compliance with policies.

Responsibilities include administering treatments, managing ventilator settings, documenting thoroughly, and ensuring safety and infection-control standards.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred.
• Proficient in administering pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic respiratory procedures.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare teams, patients, and families.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and chest physiotherapy, based on physician orders and protocols.
• Orients patient to treatment modality prior to procedure to facilitate cooperation.
• Conducts patient assessments and monitors responses to respiratory therapies.
• Manages ventilator settings and airway maintenance for safe respiratory support.
• Communicates with healthcare staff and leadership to ensure timely information flow.
