Job summary

CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join an established RT team delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care, including ventilation management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, and communicate with physicians while educating patients and families. Requires AMA-approved program, NE license, RRT within 12 months, BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP timelines apply. Sign-on bonus and loan forgiveness offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in NE upon hire.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist within 12 months.
• BLS required upon hire; ACLS/PALS/NRP timelines specified.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic respiratory care and develops plans for delivery of Respiratory Therapy as directed.
• Administers and monitors mechanical ventilation, physiological monitoring, and diagnostic procedures.
• Assesses patient needs for therapy modality, frequency, and duration; communicates findings to MD.
• Documents in medical records and reports adverse reactions promptly.
• Educates patients, families, staff, and students about respiratory therapy and equipment.
• Assumes charge responsibilities in supervisor's absence.
