Ochsner Health System in Gretna, LA seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide RT-CRT services including oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support across age groups. You will perform therapeutic procedures, document clinical information, and educate patients and staff on treatment plans.

The role requires an Associate's Degree (Bachelor's preferred), current state RT license, NBRC RRT certification, and BLS; ACLS within 90 days of hire. Flexible scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• NBRC certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures according to established policy and procedure.
• Reviews and documents all clinical information regarding each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures.
• Provides care based on patient age and related criteria, respecting privacy and effective communication.
• Adapts approach to the patient population and setting.
