Ochsner Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide RT-CRT services and support for patients from neonatal to geriatric. The role includes oxygen therapy, arterial blood gas analysis, and ventilation support in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Education requires an Associate’s Degree with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Active state licensure as an RT, NBRC-Registered (RRT), and BLS are required; ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• NBRC certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures according to established policy and procedure.
• Reviews and documents all clinical information regarding each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures.
• Provides care based on patient age and criteria, including neonatal to geriatric.
• Adapts communication to the specific patient population and consent processes.
