Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care, oxygen therapy, diagnostics and ventilation support for patients from neonatal to geriatric. You will perform ABG analyses, monitor patients, and assist with airway management under physician orders.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred), a current state RT license, and BLS; ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• BC/BLS required; ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures per policy.
• Reviews and documents clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and plans of care.
• Performs diagnostic procedures.
• Provides care aligned to patient age and needs.
